  2. Paint each triangle red and leave to dry.
  3. Position your triangle with the top point facing up.
  4. Glue one cotton ball or white pom pom to the top, and cover the bottom in them.
  5. Tie or glue on a piece of string to hang your ornament.

DIY Glitter Candles

No matter what holiday you celebrate, these candles can be a great addition to your dining room table or entertaining space. You can also repeat the instructions below and create another section glittered in a different color.

  • 1 set of plain, white candles
  • Red glitter
  • Mod Podge or any decoupage glue
  • Crafting brush
  • Clear sealer spray
  • Painter’s tape

  1. Use painter’s tape to mark what areas of the candle you would like to glitter.
  2. Using a brush, apply Mod Podge to the areas you plan to glitter.
  3. Roll the areas between painter’s tape through the glitter.
  4. Let the candles dry overnight, and lightly spray the glittered areas with a sealer.

Peanut Snowmen

This easy-to-make project uses full, uncracked peanuts, along with materials you probably already have in your arts and crafts kits. You can make these into ornaments, displays, or even gift toppers.

Time Needed: 15 minutes

What You’ll Need

  • Whole peanuts
  • White craft paint
  • Black permanent marker
  • Ribbon for scarfs
  • Hot glue gun
  • Acorn tops

  1. Paint all of your peanuts white. Set aside to dry.
  2. Hot glue acorn tops as a hat for each peanut.
  3. Tie ribbon around the neck, like a scarf.
  4. Create a face using a marker.
  5. If using as an ornament, glue a thin string on top of the hat.

This is the perfect decoration to put on a fireplace mantle or above an entrance to another room of your home. While it looks elaborate, it won’t take you much time to create this.
